This week in real time:
Our campground had a disc golf course, so we wiped the dust off of our discs to try it out!
We took another gorgeous waterfall hike along the McKenzie River - Koosah and Sahalie Falls Trail. It was stunning, and the rainy weather made the forest even more beautiful!
I guess we've really settled into the travel lifestyle, because we felt comfortable enough to take one more dip in the hot springs before a big travel day. We also took a mid-day break at costco to shop before finishing our trip up to the Portland area.
We are staying right by the GORGE-ous Columbia River Gorge. The historic waterfall highway has some closures but we still managed to check a few out! We also drove a loop around Mt. Hood to scope out camping spots and visited a stop on the Hood River Fruit Loop for some apples and cider!
The following day we tested out the hiking trail connected to our campground and were spoiled with awesome views! We could see the Columbia River Gorge with fall foliage, and made it to Ponytail falls!
One evening we ventured into Portland to visit my friend Kate. She showed us around her neighborhood where we found some yummy vegan cocktails, delicious Burmese food, and ice cream (coincidentally also vegan).
We scored some extra sunny days earlier in the week but the rain has set in and doesn't show much sign of lifting for awhile...
