Hey there JDLX Travel fans!
This week in real time:We tested out the pool and hottub at our resort which are so lovely after a run! On Monday Matt introduced us to a nearby running club where we had fun running with the pups through the Pacific Beach area. The running club also does a raffle afterwards, and Matt won a head of cauliflower and diapers! 
This week is a hard one to be so far from family as it marked 4 years since we lost my mom. In honor of her, we set aside some intentional time to take things slow and had some really nice moments with nature. We enjoyed sunset walks, as well as sunrise at La Jolla with the sea lions, seals and birds. It turns out I am fascinated by sea lions, seals and pelicans - I could have stayed there all day! I think my mom would have been just as delighted as I was, and we appreciated the gorgeous sunrise she sent us! 
This weekend was a busy one! We watched the moon set over the ocean before Dylan and Tim went surfing at sunset cliffs. While they surfed I went on a nice hike along the cliffs with the dogs, and watched some surfing! 
We went into Old Town San Diego to meet some of my extended family for lunch. It was great to finally meet some family members that I have heard about for years! They also showed us around the Historic area of Old Town. We topped off an awesome Saturday with a San Diego Gulls Hockey game with Dylan's friends, Tim and Allie (&kids)! We had no idea it was Star Wars night at the game, but it added some extra fun to the event! AND Tim brought us some delicious homemade "Best Coast Bagels" this morning!
