Hey there JDLX Travel's biggest fans!
This week in real time:It was another crazy busy week for us in Washington! I had fun hiking with Hailey and Jeremy, and Lucy and her Mom last weekend! Found my first banana slugs too...Dylan had a fun but busy trip East to go to the Python Computer Conference with his Dad and Brother! The dogs and I picked Dylan up at SeaTac late Sunday evening, traffic was way worse than what I'm used to at BWI! And we all made it back to the RV around midnight. The next morning we were up early packing to start our 5 hour drive to the North Cascades! Although it was a long drive, we picked a cool route which took us through the North Cascades National Park Highway on our way to Winthrop, WA! Hailey and Jeremy bought some National Park audio tours and let us borrow their login so we could get the tour while we drove the RV through the park! It's super cool to get the information and history while you drive! Our campsite-see picture below-may be our favorite campsite ever, we felt like we were in the sound of music! It could just be that we were enjoying the sun soaked mountain views East of the range, after passing through the grey and rainy West side. Unfortunately, we only had that site for 3 nights and had to move in preparation for the long weekend. We learned our lesson about finding free camping spots, and I was able to scope out a free camping area that had a paved road the whole way in. A short drive to an easy free campsite was just what we needed. You can find us soaking up the sun and relaxing here all weekend before we try to meet up with some friends and family again soon!
