This week in real time:
After such a fun time racing around Washington to adventure with Hailey and Jeremy, we were tired! And the drive out to this gorgeous part of the state was long so we figured why rush back? We spent an extra week hanging in the national forest to recover and be productive. We lucked out, because there was a gorgeous waterfall only .5 mile walk from our campsite!
This was an interesting test for us with off-grid camping as we decided to test our limits. Often we have a set date we need to move or the weather forces us to move-we need sun for power! This time around we are took it day by day to see how our tanks would handle! We are happy to report that we stayed out in the forest for 8 nights without running out of water, or overflowing our tanks! We did need to re-fill our drinking water jugs once during the week but that is a little easier than moving the whole RV to fill/empty tanks.
Unfortunately the pollen, and a huge swarm of mosquitos arrived over the last few days in the forest. Needless to say, we were okay leaving those behind! Today we made a 5+ hour drive, thanks to Seattle traffic, back to the Seattle/Tacoma area. Sitting in traffic is not our favorite but at least it gave us some time to enjoy the views of Mt. Rainier!
Thanks for following our journey!
