This week in real time:

Last week we went back to one of the first Washington campgrounds we stayed at, in Auburn. It was a cute little county park with a big river running through it, and a very well-used disc golf course! After spending a total of almost 2 weeks there we finally got some discs to test out the course - it felt like a combination of frisbee, golf, and hiking! The only big downside was that there were a lot of fireworks this time staying here, which Luna does not like at all.

For one of our last days in the area we finally figured out how to catch the Sounder Train to head into Seattle for the day! We didn't want to leave the dogs home for too long so this time we only hit the major tourist spots - Pike Place Market, The Gum Wall, and saw the Space Needle! We also got to meet up with one of Dylan's old coworkers for lunch which was a lot of fun!

It was a fun last hoorah in Washington, but we were antsy to get to Idaho for our summer gig and some stability. We ended up pushing through the mountainous 11 hour drive in just two days and will now be mostly stationary for the next few months! In May we drove to the ranch in Idaho to meet the family we would be working with, and on the way out we drove past an avalanche and a ton of snow! Driving the same route to the ranch yesterday gave off total summer vibes between the hot sun, an almost completely melted avalanche, and seeing lots of rafters and kayakers on the water! We are looking forward to sharing more about our Idaho adventures once we are a little more settled - but for the record I have yet to see a potato or potato farm. Also we are now in Mountain Time, so only 2 hours off from most of our family and friends back East!
