This week in real time:
After 3 months of moving the RV a lot, we are excited to stay in one spot this summer! We found a job in Idaho that allows us to stay on the property for free in exchange for some work. This is a common job for RVers - often called camphosting or workamping - and we found the job on a site that exclusively lists workamp jobs.
We are located in central Idaho, very close to the Sawtooth Mountains and the Salmon River! The Ranch we are staying at is primarily used for family reunions. Our jobs are to help get the property changed over between groups - I am mostly helping with laundry and light cleaning, while Dylan is mostly helping with general maintenance and upkeep. They do not have many animals on this ranch, but there are a few llamas and some chickens!
We are having fun getting to know the family that owns the ranch. The husband and wife are close to our age and very into outdoor activities. We have gone on a bike ride (to the pretty lake you see below) and runs with them already! They also have 4 young kids who are adorable and entertaining! Lucky for us the kids like our dogs and want to hang out with them! This week we have had a few days getting used to the job as groups change over, and have been getting settled.
Thank you all for joining our newsletter email list! We love working on the blog and sending these updates - its even more fun as the email list grows! Feel free to send us feedback, questions, and comments about the blog or these emails! We love hearing from you!
